So, INTERNET SAFETY is the knowledge of maximizing the user's personal safety and security risks to private information and property associated with using the internet, and the self-protection from computer crime in general.

Some of you didn't know why do we need to be aware while surfing internet. "To be aware on Internet" is the main branch of INTERNET SAFETY.Some of you might aware of "Cyber Bullying" it is very biggest Cyber crime , So , to get safe from Cyber Bullying, the best method is that be aware when you give you e-mail address to anyone, let me explain this with the help of story :-

There were two friends JACK and JOHN . JACK,who is a student but he has all the knowledge on cracking e-mail ID's. And JOHN who is a talented student among studies,sports and all co-curricullar activities. One day JACK call JOHN and asked that if he would give his assingment through his email ID , JOHN replied "ok i will mail it to you". JACK had taken this assingment through his e-mail ID because he was jealous of JOHN. JACK want to crack JOHN's e-mail ID. Now JACK was ready to crack JOHN's e-mail ID ,when he was done with cracking ,He mailed abuse words to JOHN's friends and Teacher's. On next day when JOHN reached school everyone was ignoring him,but he didn't know why ? When teacher come to class he then punishes JOHN, but JOHN was saying that "what is my fault ?".Then his teacher said "Don't become oversmart , just wait I am calling to your parents,they may had to know what you are doing with computer" . His parents take him to home and punishes him. When he knew that using his e-mail ID someone had mailed abuse words to teacher's and his friends. He said to his parents that he had not done this, he will find the man who has done this, after that his father complaint this to Police when police searched for the computer's IP adress by which the mails has been sent, they find that the computer by which the mails has been sent is located at neighbourhood of JOHN's home then JOHN knew that this is done by JACK. He then think's emotionally think that my best friend has done this,this was not expected from him. After that JACK was put in KIDS PRISON for 1 month.

This story tells us that never share you e-mail ID to anyone, Even don't share it with your best friend also.
